How to avoid common taxi order mistakes:
1) Give us your proper address in Anaheim including the prefix, such as east or west and the suffix, such as court or street. Orange County cities have many streets, sometimes duplicated in the map book, and some streets run through multiple cities. To top it off, taxi drivers can be like regular people and get confused.
2) Always provide a phone number the driver can contact you back in case they need directions for newer streets or to confirm the address. Sometimes taxis will have GPS to find addresses, but due to updating, may not have your correct taxi pickup location.
3) Know that you are expected to load into the taxi right away upon arrival. Drivers have the option to start the taxi-meter as soon as they arrive and charge the wait time.
4) Keep in mind that even the best Anaheim Yellow Cab or Disney taxi drivers don’t know every street in Orange County and that you should give your preference for getting to a destination. The driver is required to take the most expeditious way, but things like traffic, construction, and the drivers own experiences may make him eager to go a different way.
5) Expectations of your driver may not mesh. Driving a taxi cab can be challenging, especially with a clash of expectations. Clearly set out the goal for the cab ride, including your preferences. Don’t just assume the driver is taking the long way. For example, if you watched a doctor perform surgery, you might ask why he does this or that…Driving a cab can be the same, you don’t know all the variables…Let the professional drive and be forgiving on minor route detours. If the driver is really going way out of line or does not communicate, then talk and get it out, but please don’t talk down to your driver. Every situation is different.
